The digiposs.com MySql ODBCUSER.DLL is simply the standard IPSWITCH one modified to work with MySql's usage of quotes and backslashes. We have noticed that the latest version of MyODBC does not work properly with IMail and our ODBCUSER.DLL, so we have posted an archived copy of MyODBC on our site for the time being that works with IMAIL 8.15 HF1 and our current ODBCUSER.DLL.
Users should keep in mind that mysql needs to allocate appropriate rights to the user connecting both for the userid and the connection host. It may also be necessary to specify the username and password on the DSN line in IMAIL if your userid and password are not saved in the ODBC DSN configuration. You can get details on that here:

We have used our ODBCUSER.DLL file on multiple types of servers using IMail versions from 7.0 - 8.15 HF1 without issue. Hundreds of other entities have also downloaded and used our ODBCUSER.DLL to successfully connect IMail and MySql both on local MySQL databases running on Windows and external servers running MySql on linux.
