we host the client website and forward their email to their verizon email accounts.

I am confused about this thread.

Are you trying to send to a Verizon account or send out through a
Verizon dial-up account?

If you are trying to send out through the Dial-up, you have to set the
outbound SMTP server to Verizon's. If Verizon is setup like most larger
ISP's. They may require that all outbound SMTP traffic gets routed
through their servers. That way they can hunt down abusers quickly and
in theory shut them down.

One last thing. I'm sure it was a typo, but you do mean Verizon not
Versizon?

I tried contacting them without success. Too bad for them because this
client has just over 100 dialup accounts too. Bye, Bye, to those.

Anyone having problems getting email to verizon? We've got a client
that uses them for dialup and we just forward email to their verizon
accounts. I regularly have a number of messages stuck in the spool
that state:

550 You are not allowed to send mail: sv9pub.versizon.net

Different server numbers though but same message.

Yep, good ol', out-of-control Verizon. Spewing unpoliced crap from
their own access networks, while using inscrutable policies for their
inbound, rejecting with useless reject messages, like yours, which
I've seen at numerous IMGate machines.

Contact Verizon and ask them to unblacklist your IP or whatever. I
don't know a contact.
