If you can work with unix (FreeBSD, Linux) check out postfix. Len's IMGate is a good starting point.
Not to "oneup" you... BUT
Running postfix here on a 133Mhz PI with 128MB Ram. Churning through more than 3000 per day (low volume)
same box also does virus scanning and spamassassin.
BTW, I can block MUCH more spam with more simple rules with postfix than IMail can dream about. I also get free virus scanning as well!

Happy Hump Day everyone -
I have read and participated in the discussions before about Declude, and
how well it works. However, our Tech Department is completely strapped for
cash (who's isn't???) and I'm not sure if management is going to ok that
purchase. My question - is the built-in spam feature in IMail 8.14 better
than nothing? If so, do you have any particular tips that you have used in
setting it up? I'm not looking for other alternatives to Declude (unless
they are free), or to start a war over which is better. I just need to get
something going and it looks like IMail is my only hope right now.
Thanks for your understanding, and any advice you can give.
Todd
