Nope, the cost was increased to $695 for an renewal agreement per
server.
For us, it was a bit disconcerting given the new direction ipswitch
seems to
be going and the features didn't warrant the increase in price. If we
wanted
to add another mail server to the rack it would cost several thousand
dollars for imail where a full blown enterprise license of smartermail
is
only $600. We're a hosting company and have no use for ICS which only
handles collaboration for a single domain anyway.
Getting back to only wanting a mail server doesn't warrant paying an
increased support agreement on things we don't even use nevermind not
using
the support either.

If I recall correctly Ipswitch did announce several months ago that it
will continue to support existing Imail Server owners (I am assuming,
that for the same or similar cost that it has in the past) in order to
not to loose current customers.
Maybe I am wrong here, or just simply remember of the part of the
announcement that was related to our situation?

Basically comes down to this,
The company who decided to abandon a major selection of their
customer database and create a new addition to Imail, call the whole
thing a new program, and discontinue Imail to maximize profit and
force people to pay more money, has now decided to apply the same
mentality to their latest patch which addresses many issues in the
product and adds things that all of us long term users have been
waiting for.
No significant additions, changes, or overhauls of the code... Tweaks
and fixes for about $700.00.
That's my $0.000002 Anyhow.
Take it as you will.
