Maybe you haven't understod what I've meant before.
For shure there are admin's who wouldn't have problems with both ASP and
PHP.
But any Imail-Admin is at least a Windows-admin. I'm pretty sure that many
more Imail-Admins know something about ASP/VBS/NET then PHP and Co.

You assumed that those who are familiar with PHP would NOT have selected Imail:

An admin who's familar with PHP & Co. wouldn't have choosen Imail for the
same reason we now don't preffer a PHP-based product.

I merely wanted to point out that your assumption is faulty.

Personally, as I stated on my own survey response, I will be dropping Imail if it requires an IIS/ASP environment. I've found IIS to be far too insecure on far too regular a basis to allow it to be exposed to the Internet for any reason (the XSS issue that Dev mentions is a good example) but we do use it in-house in an extremely controlled environment.

Is IIS easier to install and use out of the box? Sure it is, as it's part of the default install. Does that ease of use mitigate IIS's past and current record for timely security updates? In my opinion it does not primarily because when IIS has a security hole it means my entire machine can be compromised. Sure both Apache and PHP have had security problems but in every instances I've had access to a patch or configuration work around (that doesn't essentially break the system) within a matter of days and such holes rarely provide a direct path to controlling my entire server. I also have little trouble learning of these issues as the MS PR machine makes sure to let the world know that the competition has a flaw as well as the fact that the OpenSource community is very quick to make a huge noise about such issues.

All in all, I really don't care which direction Ipswitch goes. They will either provide a solution that fits within my security model and I'll upgrade or they won't and I'll either keep my current install as is or switch to a different product.
