it will be in 8.2 which is due out in a few months. Let the ICS folks beta test this for now.

Hi,

I forgot something:

As you know, the subscriptions for IMail are a bit overpriced right now. Especially, that
no new IMail major release is available since 8.1x. Only Bugfixes were released.

It would be a big "thank you" from ipswitch to the customers, if the new anti spam feature
will available to IMail customers with a valid subscription too.

Hallo Spaminator,

According to the IpSwitch site, ICS2 Premium uses Mail-Filters.com as their source for anti-spam rules/heuristics.

This is correct. I have no idea, if this product is good or not.
The people of this company are deciding what is spam or not. This feels a bit
uncomfortable to me. I would like to know, how good non-english spam will be captured ;-)

I do not see a reason, why this service is available to ICS customers Only. I think, this
service plugs in to IMail anyway. And its free for ICS customers, if a subscription was
bought.

Does anyone have experience with using them? How would they compare with a Declude/Message Sniffer combination?

I have a service agreement valid through December for IMail Unlimited, bought prior
to ICS. It looks like the only upgrade path is going to cost me $5995 with the existing
customer discount, since it doesn't seem they offer it through the support agreement.

Something tells me the extreme cost to upgrade makes a
Declude/MessageSniffer/SmarterMail combination the smarter choice.

Comments, suggestions, inappropriate remarks? ;-)

Some highlights of ICS 2:

- New Premium Anti-Spam reduces spam and virtually eliminates false
positives

- Additional anti-spam features include SPF to block phishing attacks, and
scanning for broken MIME headers, plain text links and deceptive URLs.

- Outlook users can now set permissions for sharing their own calendars,
contacts and other Outlook folders.

- Encrypted e-mail transport with SSL for SMTP, POP and IMAP.
