Thank you guys for the quick lesson, I have used "some command|more" combo many times, but never occurred to me that for e.g. the "more" happens to be a complete DOS command, and now I know why the pipeline is called "pipeline".

If you use the win32 versions of Unix commands that I've mentioned here frequently, you get a lot more windows scripting power for your pipes.

The basic idea of unix command shell is to use the simplest, best tool for a small task, combined with other simplest tools, to give a powerful scripting environment to attack comlex jobs.

btw, coming from Windows cron, I went crazy trying to click on the right radio buttons for windows scheduler, so I tried http://www.nncron.ru/ and never looked back.
