All you need to do is use DNS round-robin for this. It's well-covered
in the archives, a FAQ.
Could work on low-volume servers, but a too indeterminate for stressed
Imail servers that really suck trying to deliver mail. round-robin will
cause with 50% of the outbound relay attemps to time out (tying up Imail
for a long time per delivery) to the the dead IP. This almost negates the
whole point of having a separate outbound gateway.
