Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] OT: Managing copies of all corporate email

Ok, I am interested in the same subject with a slight difference:

How can I save all messages (sent and received) in one mailbox EXCLUDING the spam messages (spam message that was designated to be spam by Imail and got a X-Imail header add on.

(If I could save all these messages in one mailbox, I would set up a daily archive process for that mbx file.)

Why don’t you store all mails at the server as they arrive. If you want to keep a track of all the mails just create a new mailbox and use the SMTP settings to copy all mails in this and take backups/view as required.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Managing copies of all corporate email

This is slightly off-topic, but it's an ongoing issue in our organization.  While we don't have a large volume of incoming/outgoing messages on a daily basis (~15,000), we do keep copies of everything.  Using The Bat! as a POP email client for this account, we peruse spam for false positives and monitor employee email for policy violations.  The issue that we have is that this process takes up quite a few resources on the PC where the email client is installed (not to mention time, but that's another problem!).

Can any of you who are doing this type of thing share with me your experience or at least how you handle copying / archiving your company email?

Thanks,
