We use all 3Com switches here. One has died in the last 7 years, and 3Com swapped it, no problem. Good stuff.

We use HP ProCurve nearly exclusively; the days of the "home user" switch outside of the home should be long-gone, for your own sanity. I'd have to agree that some of the old blue NetGears have held up really well, far better than others at their price point. But a managed switch will let you spend time finding out why your _stations_ are sending bad packets (chances are there's at least one), instead of being forced to let your networks stay "unknowable." So go my thoughts on it. . . . --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/download/release/ http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
