Or it could just be the usual nostalgia that starts a craze that everyone wants to cash in on. I remember watching Night of the Living Dead in B&W as a kid, and have been wondering for years when someone was going to do a remake of the classic unstoppable mindless force they were.
It took more than the standard 30 years for clothes, but then we've been busy for a few years on meteors, natural disasters, alien invasions, and little people. Later...got to get up and walk around for a bit with my arms outstretched mumbling "Braaaaiiinnnssss!" Darin.
