I had that once, when I misconfigured my procmail-sorter on a
mailbox for postmaster-virus-logs which gets 'hit' about twice
per minute.  So *always* after reading the *large* mailbox,
some broken (headerless by wrong filter) Mailbody was added,
and so the next read of the box broke.

Just an idea ...
