Hi.

I wondered if anyone could offer me any assistance.

We are an internet based company which obviously has customer service
dealing with a lot of inbound, email based customer queries.

I understand the basic setup of IMAP and have configured the setup for one
of the domains email addresses across 4 computers.

We currently have it set up so that the email is read by whoever looks at it
1st. Replied to. Then the message in the inbox is moved manually by the
individual into a folder called done, thus keeping a copy of the email (not
in the inbox) and putting a strike through the email in the inbox ready for
a scheduled deletion. The only bug bear of this is what if it not copied???
I the individual just deletes the email it would be deleted automatically
and no copy would exist.

Overall what I'm looking for is to have an email come in. Replied to by
person 1. Have the email moved out of the inbox folder but not to have to
rely on an individual to move it so that it shows replied to and keeps the
thread etc in the copied folder so that the inbox is kept clean.

My other query is although I don't think it is possible. Are you able to
monitor who read the email 1st??? i.e. flag it with a computer name or
something???

Thank you so very much and kindest regards.
