OK

Wrote a small program that sorts the .mixstatus file and
found that things work better. The noticed that the recreated .mixindex
also was out of order (on the UID:s) and ran the same sorting on that
file. Now everything works perfect.

I think your selfhealing algorithm for the .mixstatus and the mix* tools
 recreating.mixindex cannot really cope with
files where the UID:s are not in sequence compared to the filenames??
