I'm hoping we'll get through to that solution in the end. Just thought I'd ask if anyone knew about an easy way to turn off AUTH in the c-client that doesn't involve me having to change code. In other words, by adding some "magic" option on the mailbox name argument to mail_open(), similar to the ones controlling tls etc. I've experimented a bit with '/user=' but that didn't do it. My assumption at the moment is that I have to specifically disable the authenticator, but that involves writing code to do it. Something I'd like to avoid. In the end it becomes a game of chicken, aka who changes their bit first. Sigh. Robby
