Hi Arnt Gulbrandsen and others,

Thank you for pointing out the RFC2177. I've just done a brief testing 
of the IDLE command on imapd.

However, I've found that the notification is very far from real-time, it 
takes at least 30 seconds before a notification is sent to the client. 
Also, the IDLE command only allows notifications to the selected 
mailbox. I'd like a mechanism which works with multiple folders.

Any other thoughts? Thanks again.
