Any change to the RECENT count is noted with a new untagged RECENT count. This is something that is clarified in the RFC 3501 errata. For a count of other message status (seen, deleted, flagged, answered, draft), you need to do a SEARCH. > For example, we have some mailbox where a message is both marked \Recent > and \Deleted, we expunge the mailbox, the message is expunged without we > could know if it was recent or not (we did not fetch its flags). EXPUNGE of a recent message would send a new untagged RECENT. -- Mark -- http://staff.washington.edu/mrc Science does not emerge from voting, party politics, or public debate.
