There's other waste that occurs much more commonly ;) Currently, my client allows people to display just the message counts of a mailbox : http://libetpan.sf.net/etpan/images/folder-list-view.png And for IMAP mailboxes, I just do that, then, when the user choose the mailbox, there is more things.
