This is an issue that MUST be resolved. Not ignored on the basis of the sanctity of the protocol.
theres nothing in the protocol stopping you of handling a trashcan in your client full transparently to your users. If you are smart you will do
it in a way that you stay compatible with other imap clients. Hint: Display
deleted messages in a virtual folder for your client.
