Or the IDLE extension, which is a thing all client's should implement, IMHO. This is why I changed the server to NOT send unsolicited EXPUNGE messages and had no problems even with Outlook Express. Remember the problem is ONLY with EXPUNGE, but clients can catch up with Flag changes (like /Deleted) without such strict requirements. In normal workflow, I think expunging is not really that common in the middle of working, but more at the end or at certain special cases, that's why it breaks rather seldom?! Christof
