BYE feels a bit rude to me and it's not really required to fix the
situation. And for example Pine doesn't reconnect to server if it loses
connection (last I checked).. Several clients which reconnect also
complain that connection was lost in some popup window, which is
annoying too.

I'm currently sending NO, that hasn't caused any problems at least with
Evolution and OSX's Mail.app.
