The problem is that the imap-2002e/tools/an shell script needs to be
executable and it is not.  It is executable (protection 775) in the UW
distribution, so something turned the executable bit off.

There are other shell scripts in the build procedure which also need to be
executable.

Where did you get the package?  If you got it directly from UW, did you
unpack it preserving protections?  Did you do anything else to change file
protections?
