Ahh, the RFC Utopia :) What im trying to say is that many legit non-RFC compliant email will fail this test.

Non-English text needs to be encoded using the scheme in ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2047.txt instead of just being put in mail headers. Raw non-English characters in email headers can cause problems for client software that isn't expecting them (which is what started this thread). Cheers, Evan
