Hehehe. Good suggestion! :) I just wont let declude/jm silently hold anything (sender nor recipient notified of missed mail). At least postfix rejects so the sender (if legit) knows the message didn't make it through.
I personally don't care, I want rejects at the gateway level. I just caught some heat from management when a couple of my subscriber regexp's last week had typo's and rejected some legit mail from mindspring. ( the DUNNO statement had a typo and wasn't allowing a mindspring MX ) With minimal restrictions I'm already rejecting around 250-300k per day. ( lot less load required by sniffer/jm with all those rejects ). I'm down to about 130-160k per day making it through, I'll be fairly happy to make it back under 100k/day. -----Original Message----- From: Webmaster Oilfield Directory [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2003 11:05 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMGate] Re: comments and your policies/experiences: MTA cred enti alsenti als just my 2 cents but unless your clients that don't want filtering are big clients ( as in big $$$) i would get rid of them, less trouble :)
