I assume you are talking about the dynamic view. Yes, this
change was made for a variety of performance and usability reasons.

I am testing in Traditional Mode only, the search interface does
not accept 'Enter' Key. I have to click on Submit button. Is this
a intentional behaviour in Traditional mode also?

OK. Fine. Are the following features are also disabled for the same
reason in Traditional view.
1. DIMP has search for anything by default, this is not there in IMP.
2. Form history feature of browser is not used.
Assume I had searched for some subject having 'ABC' before, when I go next
time for search with Subject, and if I type 'A' it should list previously
searched string starting with 'A'. This used to happen in H3/IMP4.
All this is for Traditional view/mode search feature.
