Quoting ANANT S ATHAVALE <[email protected]>:
1. DIMP has search for anything by default, this is not there in IMP.
IMP doesn't have a quicksearch feature.
2. Form history feature of browser is not used.
Assume I had searched for some subject having 'ABC' before, when I go next
time for search with Subject, and if I type 'A' it should list previously
searched string starting with 'A'. This used to happen in H3/IMP4.
That is totally browser dependent. It is not an IMP feature.

OK. Fine with point 1.
But, for point 2, Form history feature works with Searching in
address book (basic search). It means the browser supports the
feature, but, it is not working in IMP search. And moreover, it
works fine in H3/IMP4.
I am still unclear, whether it is a browser problem or IMP 5
problem. But, making it working will have a great advantage.
I am trying these things in Firefox 8.0 on Fedora 16. I have seen
it not working on Windows Firefox 8.0 also. I have not tried any
other browser as of now. But, in H3/IMP4 it works.
It is not an IMP feature. Meaning that we don't guarantee how this
will work with any given browser/OS combo. It is irrelevant what the
behavior was in previous versions.
