Hi Nicholas,

I fear that this will be a difficult problem to diagnose without a
    bit more information on your end, since BIRT report behavior is so
    specific to your report design and the data in your database.  Are
    you familiar with YourKit?  It might help if you could move this
    thread to the developers list and include a YourKit snapshot of the
    session that includes running this Birt report for investigation.

I'm not sure whether or not there are detailed instructions for
    using YourKit with OpenMRS on the wiki...@Darius do you know of any?
