Hi Mark,

Thanks. I went ahead and created the ticket.
https://tickets.openmrs.org/browse/HTML-319

We are currently using the <patient> tag to create new patients in
combination with the Role Based Homepage Module. We then use the HTML Form
Flowsheet Module to build a custom patient dashboard, thus isolating the
user from the current dashboard.

We are currently looking into two workarounds, both of which are a bit
clumsy:

1) provide a link to the "Edit This Patient" screen within the
"demographics" form displayed on the demographics tab flowsheet tab

2) encapsulate the "Edit This Patient" screen (or maybe some custom version
of it without the header) into the "demographics" form displayed on the
demographics tab using an <iframe>

Thoughts/comments/gotchas on these ideas would be most appreciated!

Tobin
