Hi all, In Italy, the government has started to publish the fuel stations as open data under the IODL v2 license (page is in Italian):
http://www.sviluppoeconomico.gov.it/index.php/it/open-data/elenco-dataset/2032336-carburanti-prezzi-praticati-e-anagrafica-degli-impianti The user sabas88 started a thread in the talk-it mailing list to import this data in OSM: https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-it/2015-June/048301.html I gently pointed out that he wasn't following the Import guidelines and he replied he didn't think this classified as an import and he wanted to do something productive instead of having to deal with the bureaucracy. The general mood on the mailing list is that it is such an overhand to follow the guidelines and they should not be followed anyway for such small edits (most stations are already in OSM and only some data should added) and therefore not even a dedicated import account is necessary. Even the proper attribution of the open data provider is not seen as necessary. Anyway the import is already ongoing and some stations have already been imported: http://toolserver.openstreetmap.it/phpBenz/stats.php I kindly ask your opinion about this import. Regards, Andrea
