I have to note that, since the description given by Jaakoo, I can understand why one would use living_street, and I don't mind it being used anymore.
But I do find that it should be documented on the wiki ( https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa ), and I also still regret that this wasn't discussed on beforehand. Regards, Sander
