Thanks - that's what I was thinking. Documenting is not too bad, but it is inconvenient to use the import account.

A mapathon is just a number of mappers who are working together.  They may or may not be importing.

Probably not what you wanted to hear and I strongly suspect some have been brought into OSM without following the import guidelines.
