This is related to my earlier posting about corrupt rcp files.

I went ahead and installed scsmfilter on the server in anticipation
of someone having a plugin suggestion for my problem.

As soon as I installed scsmfilter, smtpds broke, and I can't get it
fixed again. I'm stummped.

smtpds refuses to see any messages in the incoming directory. The
directory has messages in in (matching msg and rcp files), but smtpds
acts like they aren't there.

If I manually put the msg files into the holding directory and the
rcp files into the correct domains\<domain> directory, smtpds see them
just fine, and properly delivers them and writes to the outlog file.

But it will not see them in incoming.

I have uninstalled all of IMS, and all of scsmfilter. I've deleted every
registry entry IMS or scsmfilter made that I can find. I've even reinstalled
virgin smtprs and smtpds on a different drive, and same thing. Also tried
different spool paths. No go.

smtprs accepts the messages and puts them into the incoming directory,
where they just sit, ignored by smtpds. The NT event log shows no problems,
and the outlog sits idle, no errors.

I know the messages themselves are fine, as they get distributed just fine
when I manually put them into \holding and \domains.

Any suggestions??? Please???
