Thanks to both for the answers. Actually, I always stop, wait, start, but I
guess I need to wait longer with version .50. I'll try that and see what
happens.

Before re-starting SMTPsrvc you must really WAIT until all current threads
are closed. I check my firewall status window to see when it is save to
re-start SMTPsrvc.

You have just encountered the penalty for not waiting long enough...
Happened to me many times until I realised what was going on... :-))
