Hi Eric,

I have just installed AVP 2.2.2 last week.

It is really a great product. Since then, I've been asking myself "how could I
run IMS without it?".

My command-line anti-virus is F-Prot for DOS version 3.14e:

http://www.f-prot.com/products/corporate_users/dos/

For this version of F-Prot, the AVP suggested arguments are pretty much
outdated. After some tweak and research, I came out with
these arguments that are working fine even in Blitz tests:

*.tmp /silent /noboot /nomem /report=$REPORTFILE

I have two questions:

1) Is it possible to set multiple "Found Virus Error Levels"?

For F-Prot I would like to set 3 and 8 only (not >2). See why at
http://www.f-prot.com/support/dos/fpdos_faq/01.html

2) Every hour I get 5 to 10 crash messages like the one below. Is it normal?

Regards,
Guilherme

Subject: AVP 2.2.2 instance crash

AVP encountered an error which caused an instance of it to be unable to
successfully scan a message. Since CrashResume=1, AVP
continues to run, however for safety AVP's exit code will indicate to
SCSMfilter that message
C:\IMS\INETMAIL\SPOOL\prein\B0000109006.MSG, is to be trashed.

Arguments passed to AVP: C:\IMS\INETMAIL\SPOOL\prein\B0000109006.MSG
C:\IMS\INETMAIL\SPOOL\prein\B0000109006.RCP

Either C:\IMS\INETMAIL\SPOOL\prein\B0000109006.MSG or
C:\IMS\INETMAIL\SPOOL\prein\B0000109006.RCP could not be found!
