I've just released an update to Trashfinder Pro. This update is mainly bug fixes and enhancement requests, but a couple of new features:
A new setting allows any text ending with a common TLD (like .org or .com) to be treated as a link to a domain. While this decreases the reliability of scanning a bit, it also finds "paste this URL" spam, where the URL would not have been detected as a link by mail clients. Support for running the F-Prot antivirus scanner has been added. The virus names are placed directly in the headers for the viewer; optionally, specific viruses can be deleted rather than placed in the Virus folder. This provides a one-stop integrated spam and anti-virus solution for those who don't want to run many plugins. But it is not intended to be a full replacement for AVP - it doesn't support other anti-virus products, e-mail notifications, etc. If you're successfully running AVP, I'd suggest sticking with it. But if you're not running any at all, consider Trash Finder's virus filter.
