i run that config here and someone on the list suggested to put the word
"nothing" (without the quotes) in the configuration>SMTP server box for
AVP.  and that seems to work for me.

i have not used the trashbin in AVP so i'm not familiar with it.

the only thing i've noticed with my setup is that an average of 2-3 viruses
per day do get through the scan.  i have not figured out how but it occurs
on 2 different servers.
