I seem to recall that you need to put into the EMWAC IMS control panel an "accept mail for" of 127.0.0.1, or else certain messages will be endlessly forwarded.
Check in the header to see who the destination address was, this should help you figure out why IMS is looping on it. I hope this helps. -- Eric -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Gary Steiner Sent: Friday, September 10, 2004 6:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: 554 too many headers I just installed IMS on a W2K3 server after years of using it on a NT4 server. It seems to be working okay, but now I'm getting these messages that seem to be in an endless loop of sending to my postmaster address. Unable to send to destination domain Sent: (message data) Received:554 too many Received: headers It seems to me I recall this being mentioned here before, but I couldn't find it in any archives. Can anyone help me? It's really pounding the crap out of the server and racking up the email messages.
