I use SMTPRcv and have been for quite a while on both W2K and W2K3 with AVP and have had no problems at all. I highly recommend changing over to it.
No problems installing it either - just follow the instructions and it will work perfectly. The newest version that Klint updated will now work with multiple Plugin1.dat files, so there's no need to create a third file for SMTPRcv if you are using more than one with SCSMfilter.
