Thanks for your help with F-Prot. It is now running on my system. The only
reason I got the trial version, was just to make sure it will work OK for
me. As soon as I'm sure it will, I will get the paid version.

I didn't see any way to delete the virus emails when found. Is this correct?
That would be nice, but for now I will manually delete them.

i bought the commercial version, since it was only $50 i didn't want to mess
with the trial version, so i can't say for sure about that one. 
but i'm pretty sure i installed f-prot with the defaults except for turning
off the scheduled scan.  and i set the schedule for signature updates to 2
hours. those are the only changes that i remember anyway.

and in tf manager the default filename for f-prot was wrong, this latest
version had a new executable, so i changed that to FPCmd.e x e. i had to
create a scan folder and point tf pro to that.  and also in tf manager i set
it to 'find virus name' because my end goal is to delete infected messages.
