if you're wanting to have TF delete them for you - in the Tf manager
under the AV setup there is a a big button at the bottom where you can
list the names of the ones that you want to delete automatically. I've
only played with it, but putting "w32/bagle" in it seems to delete a lot
of what I see on that one server.

Thanks for your help with F-Prot. It is now running on my system. The only
reason I got the trial version, was just to make sure it will work OK for
me. As soon as I'm sure it will, I will get the paid version.
I didn't see any way to delete the virus emails when found. Is this correct?
That would be nice, but for now I will manually delete them.

i bought the commercial version, since it was only $50 i didn't want to mess
with the trial version, so i can't say for sure about that one.
but i'm pretty sure i installed f-prot with the defaults except for turning
off the scheduled scan. and i set the schedule for signature updates to 2
hours. those are the only changes that i remember anyway.
and in tf manager the default filename for f-prot was wrong, this latest
version had a new executable, so i changed that to FPCmd.e x e. i had to
create a scan folder and point tf pro to that. and also in tf manager i set
it to 'find virus name' because my end goal is to delete infected messages.

Oh, thanks. I didn't realize TF had instructions for setting up
F-Prot. That makes it easy!

Thanks Ted. I downloaded the trial to check it out, but if you could
tell me how to set it up for IMS and TF, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks for your help.
Not wanting to speak for Ted, but my suggestion is:
1) Read the article about setting up and using antivirus in the
TF Pro help file ("Scanning for viruses", under "Specific Filters").
2) Follow the easy instructions.
3) Relax. :-)
If you do find anything in the instructions that needs to be made
clearer, please tell me. The intent is that the instructions are
turnkey - it should be possible to follow them without much additional
knowledge.
I don't know anything about the trial version, though; it might differ
a bit from the commercial version.
