I would have thought that you shouldnt see this sort of reset ever.  If
something's gone astray software wise, it should BSOD with a stop error.
Are you sure the hardware's ok?

What do you mean by username checks?  Maybe I can speed up the handling
of this.

Maybe setting smtprcv to below normal priority might help.
