I have not been bothered by the long message-ID enough times to automate anything. Laziness on my part, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to put in place.

Thank you Ted
Appears a long message ID was in fact the culprit.
Do you have any automation to the removal of said messages or simply
watch for the effects?
Thanks again

Subject: Re: EMWAC & Exchange 2003

I have a couple of IMS servers that are front-end mail filters for Exchange 2003 boxes and the only problem I have seen is that some messages created in Outlook on outside PCs and sent in will have really long message-IDs, maybe 300 characters or so, and Exchange will not accept these and then mail piles up behind that one message. That has happened several times. But I can't think of anything else that I have had major problems with. Also, I am not running Exch SP2 anywhere right

now, so I cannot speak for how that might change things.

Good Day

Our EMWAC, which was passing messages just fine to our Exchange 2003
server, has stopped doing so! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

All was fine up until late yesterday afternoon. Stopping and starting
the IMS delivery agent, removing the "mri" file in between, seemed to
help for a time (a few messages were delivered) but now the messages
continue to sit in the "holding" folder and the mri file does show
continued attempts to send but nothing more.

Thanks for any ideas.

Don
