On the security , dont worry about it . DO you have another Mac ? If yes , have you tried connecting the issue machine as Target disk mode and then connecting it to another machine where the infected machine will just act as a HDD , and you might be able to delete the file . If you dont have one, take it to a store , ask them for a Firewire cable of thier and connect there and do the same.
