If u would have got a gsm bb with wifi things would have been different. U can
access facebook and other apps. Bb is yet a business product so other frills
are not yet available. The market is murmurring about verizon iphone. If that
comes then something could happen on rel. Vodafone has the best monthly and
yearly plan for bb. U should carry 2 phones. Lol. U have to compulsory use bb
so u get used to it. Do u have evdo active? Rel gives it on their bbs. Ask them
to activate it and experience it.
I've already sent u add request for bbm.

Subject: Re: [imug-users] Blackberry for CDMA phones

So here is the update on my experience with getting a Blackberry.

1. It’s not bad. Email and SMS and BB Messenger works great.
2. Reliance charges Rs. 299 for Unlimited Email and BB Messenger service.
3. BB sucks for Internet surfing and apps like Facebook when compared to the
iPhone. Reliance charges Rs. 1099 for Unlimited Internet, Email and BB
Messenger service. Not worth it at all so I deactivated it within 24 hours.

In conclusion, it’s a good phone and the email / bb messenger service is pretty
good, but the iPhone is still way ahead of it’s time.

I just wish the iPhone had a CDMA model and was not locked to service providers
like Vodafone and Airtel in India.

For those of you that are using BB Messenger, My BB Pin is 32463D08. Do add me
and we can chat and apparently do file transfer amongst our devices for free.

So it looks like to continue enjoying the features of the iPhone, I will
migrate to an iPod Touch since I do have WIFI both at home and in the car
(portable WIFI using Tata Photon)

The only apps that won’t work are:
- Maps
- Compass

BTW, Google Maps and BB Maps on the BB sucks royally when you compare it with
Google Maps on the iPhone.
