Dear Rishi, Congrats on ur new phone. Yes, I do agree that iPhone is way ahead of its time. The app store alone kills it. I am having the same setup (bb + ipod touch). Please check with reliance as vodafone have dropped the unltd plan frm 1099 to 599.
2 queries for u : Which bb model did u buy (officially from Reliance or grey) ? And how do u get photon on wifi ? U use ur mbp as wireless access point ?? Have sent u a friend request on bb. It’s not bad. Email and SMS and BB Messenger works great. 2. Reliance charges Rs. 299 for Unlimited Email and BB Messenger service. 3. BB sucks for Internet surfing and apps like Facebook when compared to the iPhone. Reliance charges Rs. 1099 for Unlimited Internet, Email and BB Messenger service. Not worth it at all so I deactivated it within 24 hours. In conclusion, it’s a good phone and the email / bb messenger service is pretty good, but the iPhone is still way ahead of it’s time. I just wish the iPhone had a CDMA model and was not locked to service providers like Vodafone and Airtel in India. For those of you that are using BB Messenger, My BB Pin is 32463D08. Do add me and we can chat and apparently do file transfer amongst our devices for free. So it looks like to continue enjoying the features of the iPhone, I will migrate to an iPod Touch since I do have WIFI both at home and in the car (portable WIFI using Tata Photon) The only apps that won’t work are: - Maps - Compass BTW, Google Maps and BB Maps on the BB sucks royally when you compare it with Google Maps on the iPhone.
