The have the ipad. Mtnl/reliance/others all have 3G service It works quite well.
About the micro sim. It is nothing but a smaller sim. Cutting the normal sim card with a special cutter is very easily possible to make it into a microsim. I know places in Irla Market, Mumbai. Most of the hotels and restaurants are providing wifi service but 3G works brilliantly. Hi I am pretty excited that Apple has finally launched iPad-1 in India with starting price of Rs. 27900. India telecom infrastructure as such do not support 3G effectively till date (but they make great ads!). Also this iPad requires a microsim which also is not available. Wifi hot-spots are also not available everywhere. Add to that we hearing rumors about iPad 2 will have some new distinct features like memory card, usb, dual camera, A5 dual core processor, graphics card, high resolution display, etc; lets see how this iPad1 goes in India. All I feel is Apple is dumping discontinued products in countries like India and targeting only US/EU markets. This but I think it will still be able to attract considerable crowd. All I am waiting is for the 12% student discount :-) Cheers Nitesh -- IMUG Users website: www.imug.in -- IMUG Users website: www.imug.in
