Hi,

Doesn't Carbon Copy Cloner make an exact clone? ie if you delete a file from
main disk, it will also get deleted from the clone?

The incremental copy feature means it copies only the changes required to make
the two drives identical ie the first copy takes time but subsequent copies are
fast.

If you want versions of a file or folder, or to be able to recover old deleted
files, you need to set up Time Machine.

Many NAS have a Ethernet port at the back, which means it can be connected to a
router. Or it may even have a USB port (for faster initial seeding of data onto
the disk.) If need be, you can get a USB to Ethernet adapter for your MacBook
Air.

Regards,
Jose
