What you get with the 13 inch Macbook Retina : + much better display, check out in a store + 8GB RAM (vs 4GB) [cannot be increased, ever.] + Extra thunderbolt port [for 2 external displays, if you want] + HDMI port + Much faster processor - more weight, 1.6 kg versus 1.0 kg - older Intel HD 4000 Graphics card - Batter life is only 7 hours compared to 12 hours for Macbook Air - no 802.11ac networking, only b/g/n
I think the last three negatives will be fixed in the next update to Macbook Retina, expected soon.
