 From Our Desk - a new page - is an effort to draw attention to items 
both on-line and in print that may be of interest to other researchers, 
as well as students, planners, policy makers, community organizers, and 
others with a stake in making sense of and shaping urban life. Many, but 
certainly not all, of these items pertain to the world's mega-cities.
