Thanks Wayne and Mike,

I’m not aware of TeX ever being trademarked and a search[1] only revealed a 
very old LaTeX logo. I found some information[2] indicating that using a 
TeX-derivative logo be OK for TeX related software. I’ll try to find someone 
that can give an authoritative answer.
